UXAD was a study about user experience and usability of combi microwave Sharp R879. As defined in the oritentation stage, the main problem of the current product was the unclear user interface. The design goal is to provide a clear and consistent operation of the combi microwave that requires an exciting learning process and offers cheerful and relaxing usage. In this way users will feel more confident when using the product. It will encourage users to be more open to new functions and programs and willing to learn how to cook with it.

RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS

This phase included exploration of the product, user research and market analysis. Exploration helped to fully understand the current situation in terms of usability and user experience of the product. The user research was to study the user’s ritual and habit concerning cooking with microwave. The market analysis was conducted in local home appliance market, to compare the similar products.
